Earth and Moon
This is a demonstration of composite shapes. The main shape is the Earth and the moon has been 'added' as a child shape. This means that the moon has a fixed XYZ position with respect to the Earth's centre so as the Earth rotates the moon also rotates. In addition the moon has been given a rotation about its own centre.
In this applet I am using P3D mode but it works just as well with OpenGL.
